In 1975, encouraged by renowned course designers Peter Thomson and Michael Wolveridge, Alan Maw formed a specialist golf course construction company then known as Greenmaw. Today as The Golf Course Company under the innovative direction of son Tony Maw, the company is evolving into a significant global player with offices on 3 continents.
The scope of services has expanded beyond construction to include the entire creation process. Design concept, construction and maintenance services, together with development and project services, are available individually or collectively as part of a project brief. Excellence in the execution of the design and construction requires experience. Our nucleus of key construction personnel brings together many years of experience. Over the past 3 decades we have been integral to the construction of more than 35 major courses, in 11 countries.
