ALAN MAW - Director Alan Maw first gained experience in the construction industry with his family business, T.W. Maw & Sons, a civil engineering construction company. He soon realised the demand for quality golf course construction services throughout Australia and Asia.
With the encouragement of five-time British Open champion Peter Thomson, and world renowned golf course architect Michael Wolveridge, Greenmaw was formed in 1975 and has been involved with some of the world's premier golf course projects throughout Australasia and Europe, including The Dukes course at St Andrews Scotland, The National Golf Club and Moonah Links, both in Melbourne, Australia.
Alan has over 25 years of experience in commercial and residential land development and is also an avid pilot with over 3500 hours of flying time. Alan is a member of The National Golf Course Owners Association of America.
As Director of The Golf Course Company, he oversees all business development and operations from concept to completion.
MICHAEL WOLVERIDGE - Director Born and educated in England, and a scratch golfer from the age of 17, Michael played the US Tour from 1962 to 1965 and played in the Open Championships of most countries in the world where golf is played. An interest in golf course design then sparked a change of direction and in 1966 Harris Thomson Wolveridge and Associates was formed. Following the death of the company founder John Harris in 1975, the company continued as Thomson Wolveridge, which in turn became Thomson Wolveridge and Perrett in 1992. Together with his partners, Michael has designed over 170 courses in 22 countries.
His skilled direction and supervision of earthworks and the subsequent implementation of his designs are hallmarks of his involvement in all past projects. Michael has formed many friendships and associations over 40 years in the industry. A past president of The Society of Australian Golf Course Architects, he has contributed to the publication of numerous golf books including The World Atlas of Golf and Dr Mackenzie's Golf Course Architecture.
TONY MAW - Executive Director Following in his father's footsteps, Tony has been involved with civil and golf construction ever since he could reach the pedals of an excavator at the tender age of 12. Tony studied Arts Commerce at both Bond and Deakin Universities and worked on the construction of numerous courses as his study permitted.
He has experienced every facet of golf course construction from operating heavy earthmoving equipment to managing business operations for Greenmaw throughout Australia and Asia. In his early days, Tony developed Greenmaw's bioremediation unit, a unique and award-winning device which removes the chemicals and oils from golf course wash down water and renders it fit for irrigation. As operations manager, Tony has overseen numerous projects, including The National Golf Club, Moonah Links Golf Course, and The Sandhurst Club in Melbourne, Australia.
As Executive Director for The Golf Course Company, Tony directs all facility operations and procurement of new developments in Australasia, Europe and the Middle East.
DAVID MCMANN - President (USA) David has held senior positions in the hospitality, leisure and real estate industries for more than 20 years, including the role of Director of Marketing at the early TPC courses for PGA Tour Inc. He then enjoyed a successful career at ClubCorp International, where he was Managing Director of the Asia-Pacific region, and more recently, the Senior Vice President of Operations at ClubCorp USA. David has a successful history of managing, developing and acquiring golf clubs, country clubs and resort facilities throughout the USA and Pacific Rim. As President of The Golf Course Company LLC, David directs overall business operations focusing on project development, real estate, and marketing.
DARREN FLANAGAN - Executive Vice President (USA) Darren has been involved in the golf industry since the age of 14, acquiring extensive experience in all facets of golf course construction, maintenance and project management. He has managed projects in Australia, the United States and the Caribbean. Notably, Darren was the project superintendent at Moonah Links in Melbourne, Australia, where the 2003 Australian Open was played. Other projects in Darren's portfolio include the Lowlands Golf Club in Trinidad & Tobago and the Lakota Canyon Ranch Golf Club, Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Most recently Darren was a Project Manager of Golf for American Civil Constructors in Denver, Colorado where he managed numerous projects throughout the United States.
As Executive Vice President of The Golf Course Company LLC, Darren directs the preliminary planning, construction and project management of new developments in the US region.

The Golf Course Company now has 5 international offices , located in the USA, Scotland and Australia.
The company was engaged in 1993 by the Old Course Hotel at St Andrews to construct a new 18 hole course at Craigton Park. The Course was designed by TWP and constructed by The Golf Course Company between 1993-1995. The Course was opened by H.R.H Prince Andrew in 1995 and became known as "the Dukes Course".
The company was engaged by Kosaido to advise on the Dukes Course during recent years and has also carried out extensive field work for Kosaido on their courses at Old Thorns, Les Bordes France and Ambroziano Italy.
The Golf Course Company was also engaged to advise on capital equipment purchases and course condition management. The company is regularly engaged to consult on the micro management of golfing facilities around the globe.
